Eggpicnic is a Canberra-based design studio dedicated to wildlife conservation created by designers and birdwatchers Camila De Gregorio and Christopher Macaluso.
Their purpose in art is to end wildlife extinction through education. By creating characters that walk a fine line between art and design, they aim to capture the beauty of the natural world in the hopes of inspiring others to protect it. They actively support conservation programs within Australia by donating a portion of the proceeds from their work to support scientific research.
Simple yet striking is what defines their work, which has been transformed into large-scale public art across the City of Sydney, at Sydney Olympic Park and Bondi Beach, bringing nature back into the urban environment. In 2019 they were recognised for artistic excellence by the Sydney Opera House, becoming the first winners of their Uncovered Program, with their work selected as the best in the Prints, Photography and Fine Art category.
