The cultures of the highlands had continuity in time and space, they did not emerge from nowhere nor did they disappear overnight. The Recuay culture is the link that unites the oldest cultures. Andean man has walked without obstacles to satisfy his needs and overcome natural problems of drought, epidemics and conquests. Communication existed between the different cultures and now it does not exist. Yesterday they were free and creative, now we depend and only copy.
