I am Carolina Aravena Costa, most of my photographs are related to the biodiversity of Chile and my travels are always motivated by recording the nature of the places I visit, especially fauna and especially birds. I have participated in two books produced by the collective “Naturaleza Revelada” edited by the photographer Jean Paul de la Harpe, with whom we also participated in the exhibition at the MUI in Las Condes “Naturaleza Revelada: Costa Central de Chile, Humedales, Playas y Bosques”. I began photographing birds in 2013 with the idea of starting to learn more about them. From my first recordings I learned about their importance in the cycles of nature and I decided that my photographs should be of great quality and beauty so that, through them, the public can learn about and protect them. In times where it is necessary to have more awareness about the environment, my goal is to make the biodiversity of our country show all its beauty through my photographs and in this way get more and more people to take care of our territory.
