Walking through the pristine forests of our beautiful Patagonia, specifically in the Río Mayer sector, I had an intimate encounter with a family of Huemules, the southernmost deer in the world. It was a family of 3 specimens, which gave me an unforgettable moment.

The photograph captures the exact moment when the male stares at my camera, almost as if time stopped in that fraction of a second, reflecting in his gaze how noble this deer is.
